Best book on aquaponics out there

Best info I have found in all areas of aquaponics. Detailed and informative. Just wish there were exact plans for the system I wanted. I chose the fill and drain system and wanted a small one to start out. I understand why it couldn't though. So many different possibilities preventing an exact plan setup for everyone. I definitely recommend this book for everyone.

Great book for beginners
This book is very detailed. All the question you have about aquaponics will be answered. The only drawback is I wish the pictures were colored. If you buy this book your money won't be a waste.

This book is great for both introduction to aquaponics and getting someone in the mindset to grow big enough for a commercial operation. The how-to's and troubleshooting sections look like gold, for when the time comes to set up and operate. If anyone wanted a great read on the topic, I'd recommend it any day. Easy to read and understand at all skill levels.

Warning the kindle edition is missing content because of copy write issues. I just discovered this and I am now screwed on an assignment because I'm supposed to read it and take a quiz on it and can't because the content is not there. Very disappointed.

This book has a lot of tools for writing good essays. I think this will be great for a English or writing class. I purchased the used book and it appears to be in pretty good condition. Minor wear and tear. This book was a little pricey. If I would have had more time I would have purchased the new one for a few dollars more.

An amazing memoir for CNF lovers

This book has been recommended to me countless times and I don't know what kept me from reading it for so long. This is definitely a stellar addition to the CNF genre and an important read. To excavate is to "unearth methodically in an attempt to discover information about the past" and that is exactly what Wendy C. Ortiz does. The timeline jumps around, so that you are simultaneously walking with Wendy, the young girl who is mixed up in a confusing relationship with her older teacher, and Wendy, the wise woman who has healed and seen the ways her past choices have manifested, disappeared, morphed, reinforced. It's fascinating. Do not expect a "how-I-survived" kind of book, replete with life lessons and inspiring scenes where she overcomes adversity. This is truly a digging up of the past, a careful laying out of all that transpired, an effort to make sense of the fossils and markings. It unfolds that way because life unfolds that way - we simply keep making mistakes until we stop. It doesn't happen in a flourish or flash of light. One day, we are better, and we're not quite sure how we got there, and that is the strength of Ortiz' storytelling - she wills us to grow up with her, unsure, but ultimately determined.

Beautiful, dark and riveting

Wendy tells the story of her teenage years: beautiful, tender, woven with melancholy and nostalgia, but also a dark and sick secret. She was surprisingly mature for her age, which shows through her observations and writing. But she is still a teenager. And when you take a look from the other side and realize that a school teacher got sexually involved with her - a thirteen year old girl, the shock sets in. On one hand, you have a teenage girl exploring the world and her sexuality and on the other, a pedophile.

Despite having huge problems at home to deal with - alcoholic parents - and the dark secret of her relationship with her teacher, Wendy tells a story of growing up. And I am reminded how, despite all the difficulties and dark moments (I was a victim of bullying for years, bordering on suicide), teenage years are tender and beautiful - the period when we didn't have to work, didn't have to take care of our own life as adults, just listened to music and tried to have fun as much as possible.

I love her rough

What a dramatic, real heart-felt, story of a girl who gets manipulated by a teacher. I love her rough, determined way her story gets told. It's like the author allowed you to see into her deepest, darkest, dirtiest truths with abandon. Riveting story telling. I seriously could not put it down until the very last page.
It could be any number of girls telling us their most vulnerable story and creating a life-as-it-is rendition that makes you really question youth, sexuality, and how one incident can shape our lives forever.

The second, "My Dreams Matter: Mandala Coloring Book Journal" is another art-therapy activity book focusing on coloring and journaling. A different approach to self-fulfillment

Having read the author's book "My Dreams Matter," I was looking forward to reading "Quiet the Mind." The format of Quiet the Mind is a series of questions that encourage the reader to reflect on their life and to enable them to experience life to the fullest. Some questions are quite serious, while others lean to the whimsical, such as "If you could be any animal in the world for just one day, what would you be and why?" (I chose dolphin, since they look like they're always happy and enjoying life.) For those who like to doodle and color while they're pondering their answers, each page is illustrated with the author's line drawings. It's definitely a very different approach to a self-help or self-fulfillment book, but it may be just what you've been looking for. If you're curious, check out the free sample online. It's very short, but it will give you an idea of what to expect.

Cannot say enough good things.

I recently purchased this book upon rediscovering how much I love coloring. I am a middle school teacher and work can be pretty stressfull and often I find myself giving so much to my job that I forget about myself. This book has allowed me to rediscover my own needs: mentally, spiritually and coloring(ly). The repeating of passages was something I laughed at at first, however I have discovered that while writing those lines over and over, I am able to better focus on exactly what I'm writing and clear everything else out. Overall, this book is very relaxing and I look forward to completing a page or two each night before I go to bed (much better than messing around on my phone).

Quiet the Mind is a must-have for anyone looking for ways to achieve clarity and focus, particularly in life-long dreams. Not unlike Lynette Rozine Prock's (other) coloring book and journal, My Dreams Matter, Quiet the Mind is like a meditative walk along a stretch of ocean, where jumbled thoughts can be sorted amidst the sometimes overwhelming noise and activity of crashing waves and calling seagulls. Written journal entries are made easy by self-reflective and thought-provoking prompts. Blank spaces are available for doodling or writing, while beautifully rendered line drawings adorn almost every page to encourage coloring/art therapy for the weary soul and mind. Also included are short texts to aid visualization and meditation, a guide to making a mandala, and a scavenger hunt for everyday items which almost literally tasks one to "stop and smell the roses." The writing and artwork, which seem simple at first, actually allow for more in-depth questions, thoughts, creativity, and revelations than would more detailed and specific prompts. Quiet the Mind is like a journey into one's creative and positive center for anyone who uses it, at any age, for any gender, and at any stage of life.

Below Expectation

I guess I was the first person who bought your book “MCSA Microsoft Windows 8.1 Complete Study Guide”, in fact I completed reading the book and I would like to give you my feedback, there is no doubt that the author has excellent knowledge in Windows 8.1 based on his experience but he failed in delivering the information to the reader, he assume the reader is mastering windows 8.1 and this book just to refresh his knowledge, also I’ve noticed that he go in more details explaining the old concepts which was used in the previous Operation System but when it comes to new technology or new features in Windows 8.1 he don’t say much and I have to go to the internet to understand because the book did not say much or in other word is not clear, finally in some chapters instead of explaining the point the author confuse the reader.

I prefer to buy Sybex books, but this is the first time to encounter difficulty with Sybex Books, overall I don’t recommend this book.

Worthless for 70-689

While the information in-general is educational, the book was nearly worthless on the 70-689 test I took today. Many of the questions had the incorrect answer in the Appendix, and some of the presented answers were laughable ("Go have a beer and give it a while - geez" was an actual potential answer in this book). Ultimately, this was a waste of money.

I was looking to take the upgrade exam from Windows 7 to Windows 8 but there really aren't any study materials for that test. This may be a better book for someone just getting into desktops but I didn't find it too useful as prep material for the upgrade exam.

In the final part, Kim considers the implications of Korea's experience as a potential role model for other catching-up countries. Interesting perspective

This book is not so easy to read but it does provide a valuable look at what is going on in Korea and much of Asia. The West is mostly blind to the major changes that are taking place in this part of the world. At some point we are going to have to wake up and become more competitive. This book is a good contribution toward an understanding of these issues. It helps frame the debate and changes we need to make in the West.
